Berkshire Lyric presents a free screening of the film A Shining Night, a documentary about composer Morten Lauridsen, at the Stockbridge Congregational Church. The movie is being shown as a prelude to Berkshire Lyric’s June 8 concert at Seiji Ozawa Hall, when they will present a concert of choral music by American composer Morten Lauridsen and Schubert. The 90 voice Berkshire Lyric Chorus will be joined then by an orchestra for a performance of Lauridsen’s moving and popular Lux Aeterna as part Lyric’s annual concert at Tanglewood. Berkshire Lyric director Jack Brown will lead members of the Lyric Chorus and Melodious Accord in brief selections of his most popular music. This is a free event. More information can be found at BerkshireLyric.org.
